FLEXCRAFT Project
IDA – International Design Awards
Gold Award – Product Design
Annually, the IDA – International Design Awards recognize and promote visionary design concepts that are distinguished by the creativity and innovation of the solutions found. IDA emerged in 2007 through a group of designers, thinkers and entrepreneurs as a way to respond to the lack of recognition, as well as to promote multidisciplinary, intelligent and sustainable design proposals.
By the occasion of the 15th Annual IDA Awards, the FLEXCRAFT Project was awarded the Gold distinction in the Product Design | Transportation / Aircraft / Aerospace.
FLEXCRAFT – Flexible Aircraft – is an aircraft that combines the idea of modularity allowing a cabin reconfiguration for different missions (commercial and leisure, relief and assistance, among others) to compete with rotary wing solutions, through an operation on short runways, improving overall performance – + INFO.
This project is the result of the work and dedication of a consortium formed by SETsa (lead promoter), Almadesign, IST – Instituto Superior Técnico, Embraer Portugal S.A. and INEGI – Institute of Science and Innovation in Engineering.
